3rd Grade Portfolio... More to Come
School-wide Self Portrait Mural
3rd graders learned about how lines and shapes can come together in a chaotic way, but become tied together with color. Using primary colors on one side, and secondary on the other, they created lots of different shapes.School-wide Self Portrait Mural

Inspired by the changing leaves outside, 3rd graders learned about artists who use patterns in their artwork, such as Romero Britto and Yayoi Kusama. Using oil pastels and paint, they created a fun, patterned leaf.

3rd grade students learned about different types of "-scapes". Landscapes, seascapes, and cityscapes. In class, we looked at a lot of different types of art-scapes, and tried our best to "read" them. We looked at all the evidence in the paintings to tell the season, time of day, weather, and location.
